Use case

Twenty years of files, and the right version at the right moment.

The difficulty rarely stated: there is not one answer, there are four, written in four periods, under four revisions of the same standard. Without the date and the source, an answer is worthless.

The situation

Technical teams live with documents that legitimately contradict each other: a tolerance agreed in 2011 is not wrong, it is superseded. A search engine that returns the 2011 passage without saying so produces an expensive mistake.

Then there is the format: part of the archive is scanned PDF with no text layer, and therefore invisible to any conventional search. Those documents are often the oldest ones, which is exactly where human memory needs the most help.

What Clairdex changes

  1. 01

    Date every answer

Each citation carries the document's date and status. Where several versions exist they are presented together rather than silently arbitrated.

  2. 02

    Make the scanned archive readable

OCR is applied to documents with no text layer, with an extraction quality check. Documents whose extraction remains insufficient are listed rather than quietly ignored.

  3. 03

    Follow a subject over time

A question about a component, a method or a requirement returns the chronology of the documents that address it, newest first.
